Test and Tag for Electrical Safety
The testing of portable tools, leads and equipment is to ensured that there is no damage to the appliance, the equipment or its supply lead and that it meets the required safety standard and it functions as intended by the manufacturer.
These tests are required to be carried out at different frequencys depending on the location of the equipment.
Testing is done on a routine basis and for workshop tools and power leads, it is every 12 months.
Where tools are subject to a harser enviroment (eg. construction site tools) then they are required to be tested every 3 months.

- Portable power tools
- Extension leads
- Multi outlet units
- Portable heaters
- Cooking appliances
- Office equipment (PC’s, monitors)
